We started Sooma because we know there has to be a sustainable and scalable way to solve this issue, and we think we’ve found it!

We sell our meal kits wholesale to community centers, schools, and religious institutions, and help them implement food assistance programs, such as SNAP, so they can easily sell fresh food to their communities.
This solution solves food insecurity by:
- Providing consistent access to quality fresh food while teaching people how to cook.
- Increasing the number and density of places in food deserts that sell fresh food.
- Working with our community partners, which are already trusted among the community, to teach about healthy food and nutrition habits.
